About the Author

Zora O’Neill first visited the Yucatan in 2003, and has returned countless times since, to write and update The Rough Guide to the Yucatan, as well as The Rough Guide to Mexico.

Since 2002, Zora has written or contributed to more than a dozen guidebooks, for Moon as well as Moon and Lonely Planet. In addition to Mexico, she’s also an expert on New Mexico, Amsterdam, Spain and Egypt. She’s well suited to this work, because she’s dangerously obsessed with details–hence this update site, and those for her guidebooks for Moon, Moon New Mexico and Moon Santa Fe.

She blogs about her travel and food adventures at Roving Gastronome, and delivers a cooking podcast at Cooking in Real Time. When she’s at home, she loves nothing better than a big dinner with friends; she shares the knowledge in the cookbook and entertaining guide Forking Fantastic! Put the Party back in Dinner Party, written with Tamara Reynolds.
