About the Author

zloformoonstabZora O’Neill grew up in New Mexico, but took it for granted until she moved away for college. Now she’s grateful to have this beautiful state to return to–and its delicious food to eat. When in New Mexico, she can often be found at the Frontier in Albuquerque, ladling unseemly amounts of green-chile stew onto her breakfast burrito.

Since 2002, Zora has written or contributed to more than 10 guidebooks, for Moon (she’s also the author of Moon New Mexico) as well as Rough Guides and Lonely Planet.

She’s well suited to this work, because she’s dangerously obsessed with details–hence this update site, and those for Moon New Mexico, as well as her guide to Mexico’s Yucatan peninsula for Rough Guides.

She blogs about her travel and food adventures at Roving Gastronome, and delivers a cooking podcast at Cooking in Real Time. In October 2009, Penguin published her cookbook with Tamara Reynolds, Forking Fantastic! Put the Party back in Dinner Party.
